Greetings, Fellow Dog Lovers,
On behalf of the Homebound Hounds Crew, I am excited to provide you with the latest update on our rescue and adoption activities.
Before diving in, let's take a step back and highlight why we're so motivated to change the status quo. "In 2023, 359,000 dogs were euthanized in California, and this is the highest number in the past five years." (Shelter Animal Counts Database, 2024) These are startling statistics, and much of the public is unaware of what's happening right under our noses. Our rescue is dedicated to advocating, rescuing, and rehabilitating the voiceless.
This newsletter is the platform to update you on our latest initiatives, campaigns, and events.
I appreciate your support.
Jessica W. Liu, President of Homebound Hounds

First things first, RESCUE WORK
Since our rescue is still so new, we've partnered with other rescues to get these dogs to safety. Thanks to our amazing fosters and rescue partners, the following six dogs are now safe. Our goal for the rest of the month is to ensure that the fosters are well-supported and that we're getting these dogs seen and adopted.
